01 / THE SERIES

Fall asleep. Something is already there.

Nightmare Dream Squad is a surreal animated adventure-comedy about an owl living with narcolepsy who discovers that dreams are not confined to the people having them.

Wokeville at dawn, with the city rising beyond its hillside neighborhood
THE PREMISE

An ordinary life.
Impossible places.

Brewster Nightstrider has a mechanical engineering degree and an early shift at Perkatory Coffee Company. Narcolepsy makes keeping that schedule complicated. Then he begins experiencing dreams with continuity: a place he remembers remains there, and something he encounters remembers him.

Beyond individual dreams lie the Etherealms: a collection of places connected to dreaming and shared consciousness. Brewster has spent years feeling that sleep makes him unreliable. What if it also changes what he can do?

THE WAKING WORLD

The coffee orders
keep coming.

Wokeville is more than the place Brewster leaves behind. Work, bills, friendships, and the things said before coffee still matter when a dream becomes impossible to forget. At Perkatory, Gordon manages the shift while Lacey, Milo, and Tessa keep its everyday rhythm moving.

THE SHAPE OF A STORY

Every dream has
its own logic.

01

Waking pressure

Something ordinary becomes too heavy to carry alone.

02

Dream externalization

An emotion becomes a landscape, a rule, or a creature.

03

Investigation

The Threadkeepers have to understand what the dream is doing.

04

Insight

Facing fear does not always mean making it disappear.

05

A wider mystery

One answer opens onto another part of the Etherealms.

THE TONE

Strange. Funny. Tender. Impossible.

A workplace fear can become a nightmare built from control. But the show is not about proving every fear irrational. Some fears protect us, and understanding a dreamer can change the shape of a dream.

The intended approximately 22-minute series episodes balance self-contained adventures with a larger mystery. A separate 9–12 minute animated teaser is currently in production.
